Ec&s can take your electrical project from the utility to the outlet on the wall. We have experience designing and constructing substations , motor control distribution centers, and all types of electrical control systems. To maximize your square footage, save time, cut cost and ensure absolute accuracy, consider specifying one of our ec&s electrical skids or shipping containers. We have 25+ years of experience in engineering and industrial electrical services, programming start up and installation across many industries such as steel mills , foundries , mining , pulp & paper, cement and power congeneration. Our electrical services include complete responsibility of plant electrical design and implementation including power connection, power distribution, motor control centers. wax

Power Electronic Systems for Aircraft

Electrical systems have made significant advances over the years with the development of power electronics and electrical drive systems. The use of electrical power structure in a conventional aircraft has been illustrated by an electrical power system structure shown in fig. 24. 2. remove Each generator delivers 115 vac/400 hz electrical power to the main ac bus and controlled by its own generator control unit (gcu). The 115 vac power is transformed to 28 vdc power using transformer rectifier units (trus). Trus consist of a multiphase transformer and an n-pulse diode rectifier, where n = 12 or 18, to reduce the ripple on the dc-link and to achieve the power quality requirements.

An electric power system is a network of electrical components deployed to supply, transfer, and use electric power. An example of a power system is the electrical grid that provides power to homes and industries within an extended area. The electrical grid can be broadly divided into the generators that supply the power, the transmission system that carries the power from the generating centers to the load centers , and the distribution system that feeds the power to nearby homes and industries. Smaller power systems are also found in industry, hospitals, commercial buildings, and homes. A single line diagram helps to represent this whole system.

An electrical system is an integral and essential component of all but the most simplistic of aircraft designs. The electrical system capacity and complexity varies tremendously between a light, piston-powered, single-engine general aviation aircraft and a modern, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft. However, the electrical system for aircraft at both ends of the complexity spectrum share many of the same basic components. All aircraft electrical systems have components with the ability to generate electricity. Depending upon the aircraft, generators or alternators are used to produce electricity. These are usually engine driven but may also be powered by an apu , a hydraulic motor or a ram air turbine (rat).

Throughout our entire van conversion , the most stressful and worrying part was sorting out the campervan electrics. Why? because i knew absolutely nothing about how electrics work. No matter how much i read and researched i simply couldn’t get my head around it and was worried about where to even begin with creating a campervan electrical system. 2 months later, i’m sitting here in scotland writing this guide and i honestly believe we have one of the most epic systems around! we are so happy with how our system turned out, and we are totally off-grid, not dependent on any sort of hookup in order to power our electronics.
